A PERSONAL NOTE
Every consult ends with some version of the same question: what else should I be doing? This page is that answer, written down. It’s the same short list I give patients, colleagues, my own family — the tools I actually reach for around recovery, sleep, and daily energy, and the handful of foundational things everything else depends on.
I didn’t build this list to sell it. I built it because I got tired of repeating myself. A product earns a spot here if I’d put it in my own house and can tell you, in plain terms, what it’s doing at the cellular level and why. Some of these resource pay us a commission. Some doesn’t pay us anything at all. The day a product stops earning my confidence is the day it comes off this page. That’s the only test that’s ever mattered to me.

Why I Recommend It
Supplement quality is the whole game — the label and the bottle don’t always agree. Fullscript carries professional-grade brands with third-party testing, and because it’s our own dispensary, I control what’s on the shelf.
Best for: Anyone already taking supplements who wants
verified sourcing in one place.
Skip it if: You’re not taking supplements and nobody has suggested you should.

Why I Recommend It
Essential amino acids are the raw material for repair. I like this formulation because the dosing is honest and it’s simple to stay consistent with. Consistency is what most people are actually missing.
Best for: Active people over 50 and anyone in a
demanding recovery routine.
Skip it if: Your
protein intake is already dialed in and consistent.

$350–1,200
Why I Recommend It
You do not need the most expensive panel on the market. Mito hits the wavelengths and power density that matter at a price most households can justify. This is where I’d start with red light.
Best for: First red light panel; consistent home
use.
Skip it if: You want a clinic-scale setup —
see the comparison below.

$3,000–8,000
Why I Recommend It
Heat is one of the oldest recovery tools we have, and a home sauna is the difference between doing it occasionally and doing it routinely. This is a considered purchase — measure your space twice.
Best for: Households ready to invest in a permanent
recovery routine.
Skip it if: You haven’t yet
built the habit with a gym or spa sauna.

Why I Recommend It
A wearable that uses gentle vibration to help you unwind. I was skeptical until I tried one. It’s not magic — it’s a nudge toward relaxation, and for winding down at night a nudge is often enough.
Best for: People whose minds race at bedtime; HSA/FSA
spenders.
Skip it if: You fall asleep easily and
stay asleep.

$600–1,600
Why I Recommend It
The premium tier of red light. You’re paying for build quality, modularity, and support — not different physics. If the budget is comfortable and you want a system that grows, it’s worth it.
Best for: Larger budgets; modular multi-panel
setups.
Skip it if: Mito covers your needs at
half the price — it usually does.

$30–200
Why I Recommend It
We earn nothing on this — it’s here because it’s inexpensive, low-risk, and people consistently tell me they sleep better with it. At this price, trying it yourself is the best evidence you’ll get.
Best for: A low-cost first experiment in sleep
routine changes.
Skip it if: You expect it to
replace the fundamentals: dark room, cool room, regular hours.

Why I Recommend It
Before optimizing anything exotic, get the basics right. You drink water every day of your life; the quality of it compounds. A good under-sink system is one of the highest-leverage purchases in this list.
Best for: Everyone who hasn’t tested their tap
water.
Skip it if: You already run a certified
whole-house system.

The SOTA Magnetic Pulser generates pulsed magnetic fields that induce gentle microcurrents, supporting the body’s natural electrical processes for overall health and well-being. Dr. Pawluk has used this device for years as an affordable, effective option for targeted spot treatments.

Why I Recommend It
Blood flow to the pelvic area tends to decline as men age, and research has linked that decline to prostate discomfort and weaker urine flow. Instead of working on the whole body, this small applicator delivers a gentle magnetic field, warmth, and soft vibration right to that area in a short daily session at home.
Note: Worth considering if you’re working with a doctor on prostate wellness and want something to use at home between visits. Talk with your doctor before ordering, especially with any implant, acute inflammation, or a cancer diagnosis.

Acupuncturist and PEMF practitioner focused on pain-free living
Why I Recommend Them
Riz spent two years studying PEMF before he brought a single device into his clinic. He has used it daily alongside acupuncture ever since. That patience shapes how he consults: he takes the time to teach before anyone makes any decisions.
Their expertise: Riz pairs a decade of acupuncture with daily PEMF practice. Book a PEMF consult if pain, recovery, or sports wellness is your focus.
DC
Chiropractor and holistic wellness practitioner
Why I Recommend Them
Dr. Marlene looks at the whole picture of movement, biochemistry, stressors, and environment, before she ever looks at any device. After 25 years in practice, she understands that PEMF supports the body best when the rest of a person’s health is considered along with it.
Their expertise: Dr. Marlene brings 25+ years of chiropractic and functional diagnostics. Book a PEMF consult if you want your whole health picture understood.

PEMF educator helping device owners get real results
Why I Recommend Them
Sean has worked with PEMF for over fourteen years, and he treats education as the heart of the work. He teaches people why the body may be underperforming before any talk of equipment. For him, understanding always comes first.
Their expertise: Sean has devoted over fourteen years to PEMF alone. Book a PEMF consult if you value depth in the PEMF field, protocols, and equipment.
Nothing in this category yet.
Saying no is most of my job. Not every PEMF company is selling you the truth, and after 30 years in this field, I’ve heard the same handful of claims over and over. Here’s what to watch for.
Most PEMF companies deliberately skip FDA approval, because approval would restrict what they’re legally allowed to say the device does. And “FDA registered” doesn’t mean what people assume. It only means the device was cleared for import, not that anyone evaluated whether it works.
There’s no such thing, and I say that as someone who’s spent 30 years testing these systems. What you need depends on the condition, the intensity required, and how deep the field has to reach. Not on which company’s marketing is loudest.
PEMF devices are wellness devices, first and foremost. A company willing to claim otherwise in its marketing is a company I’d be cautious about everywhere else, too.
